Anything but ordinary: The historically unique fortification dates back to the 12th century and extensively renovated in 2019. Highly praised in the international trade media, the winning project of the architectural firm Bevk Perović from Ljubljana shows just how skilfully old substance, combined with modern elements can be used for a modern purpose.
The historic casemates are made up of the Strada Coperta and three parallel, interconnected, vaulted halls, which were refurbished as part of the revitalization process. These rooms provide the perfect setting for concerts, meetings, lectures and seminars.
The New Bastei scores points with its clear lines, natural light and direct access to the city park. The unique combination of history and modern ambience makes every congress and conference a unique experience.
Guests can indulge in culinary delights in the restaurant "Das Tscherte".
