The Kardos is located in the City of Vienna in front of the old Viennese city walls, next to the Stubentor (U3 Underground-Station), one of the main gates to the Old Vienna, opposite the Dominican church which was built as the first gothic church in Vienna in 1226 on behalf of Duke Leopold VI. For more than 100 years the Restaurant Kardos is famous for its fine cuisine of Austria-Hungarian Empire. The interconnection of tradition and modernity is the philosophy of our house. The Kardos invites with fine dining into the countries of Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Bohemia and the Balkans and serves refined delicious specialties of K. & K. monarchy, as the original Kardos Goulash-Trology, our country-specific goulash variations, seasonal delicacies, famous classics like our Hungarian fish soup "Halaszle", "Wienerschnitzel", "Tafelspitz" and the homemade Somlòi Galuska or "Salzburg Nockerl", as well as a wide selection of wines from these regions.
